VPS joined in the traditional regatta which was held on 25. August 2018. The regatta goes from Schleimünde to Ærøskøbing, with 130 yachts and more than 1000 participants from the Shipping Industry.
VPS joined the regatta in a traditional Danish boat design (Ylva) and in the vessels crew were Martin Köpke (Hapag-Lloyd), Jakob Buus Petersen (VPS), Sergey Tuymetov (VPS) and Soren Hansen (VPS). Wind conditions were fair and the competition hard, but the trip was very enjoyable with good team spirit on board.

The regatta is rounded up by a prize ceremony and a dinner banquet on the Danish island of Ærø where small - and business talk on current topics in the Shipping Industry were on the agenda. A warm thanks to Peter Gast Shipping for arranging, the regatta sponsors for contributing and all participants for the friendly atmosphere during and after the race.
